Product name : Forged CW-4 Hunting Knife, Patterned Steel
Introducing the CW-4 Hunting Knife, a tribute to the legendary Kanekuni of Seki City. Born in 1925, Kanekuni mastered the traditional sword-making techniques from the Kamakura era, becoming a renowned contemporary bladesmith. During WWII, he was compelled to produce military swords, but after the war, he crafted specialized tools for the Japan Racing Association.

Kanekuni's signature style involves crafting modern Japanese blades using a seven-layer combination of soft iron and Anlai steel, known as the 'Mino Tradition.' These blades blend tradition with modern elegance, exuding a sense of prestige. The 'Forged Hunter' and 'Hundred-Fold Craftsman' series are celebrated for their graceful design and razor-sharp edges, perfect for cutting and chopping.

Though a replica, this knife matches the quality of the original, differing only in price. Hand-sharpened to an exceptional edge, it slices paper mid-air with the ease of cutting vegetables. The patterned blade is crafted using an ancient Chinese technique over 2,000 years old, involving multiple layers of steel folded and forged to achieve remarkable hardness and resilience. Each knife's unique forging process results in one-of-a-kind patterns reminiscent of mountains, rivers, and other natural forms.
